Course Introduction

SS 651: 2019 is developed for the chemical industry to address occupational safety and health management system requirements and process safety management system requirements

The course will help equip participant(s) e.g. plant manager, plant/process engineer, technician, WSH personnel working in the chemical industry such as chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, pharmaceutical, wafer fabrication and bulk storage terminals  with the necessary understanding and knowledge to conduct an internal audit based on SS 651 : 2019 requirements.

Course Objective

Upon completion of the course, the participant(s) will be able to:

• Understand the operation of the safety and health management system for chemical industry based on SS 651 and its principal processes  
• Develop internal capabilities to perform an internal audit of SS 651 :2019 requirements
• Apply appropriate principles, methodology and technique to conduct an effective internal audit
